Know where I can find a good talking doctor?

I want to find a psychologist who is WLS friendly. Someone who understands what's going on, and can help me deal with the changes I will go through.

I have a talking doctor now, and honestly I don't think she gets it. We are in different ballparks.

Park Nicollet has some therapists on staff but I do not know how much ongoing stuff the do. The next time you are in you might ask the nurse for a referral. I am sure they get that question quite a bit.

I had one who specializes in it, and who did my 5 pre-op psych evals... but she's in Roseville. Not sure you want to drive that far, but if so let me know and I'll PM you her info.

Putting in another plug for Park Nicollett -- they have been fantastic. Many of the nurses/nuts/dieticians etc have also had the surgery so they "get it" too.

i see a man, jim, in St. Cloud at psycotheraputic services. he is really nice funny, listens , doesn't feed me crap and is honest. i was only suppose to see him three times but i have anohter meeting with him because he wants me to be prepared. very cool. hope that helps
