Gallbladder
Hi everyone:) I was feeling GREAT!! Until last evening! I have a major gallbladder attack..It SUCKED and hurt like hell!!! I am wondering how many of you have had this problem? I went to my primary today after calling my surgeon. I have a CT scan next Monday morning..I am scared to death to eat! Have any of you had an attack and then had no symptoms return? I am SO thankful I have a place to ask questions:) Thanks!! Crystal
Been there - done that. Lived on gatorade and sourdough for 3 months until they diagnosed it right. Stay away from all fried, high fat, sugary foods. Basically eat as bland of food (stay away from pop) as you can until you get surgery. it's no fun but you'll feel SOOOOO much better afterward
Please spay and neuter your pets!

Watch eggs, too. A couple of our DS'ers have had GB issues lately and eggs posed an issue.
And no, their symptoms didn't improve. It required them both to have their GB's out. I think you'll find it a better relief to have it taken out! Some surgeons do it as a day surgery so it requires no overnight stay or anything.
Good luck!

Like everyone else said watch the high fat foods. The attacks will more than likely come back, i know they did for me when i had them. They stopped when I had it removed after about 3 1/2 months of attacks, one about every three weeks. Was in the ER 5 times before they diagnosed it and removed it. No problems since (3 1/2 years) and was part of why I chose the type of WLS (DS) thats I had.
