OT - Jobs Anyone?
I do have a temp job lined up for 20 hrs (yes, ONLY 20 hrs) next month. I've made several calls today, also. I've even applied at McDonalds!
Does anyone know of ANY (well, MOST any!

I'm willing to work most hours, but do have some evening commitments in November.
Thanks for any tips!
Nancy
Also, try not making your resume so that you are over qualified...isn't that horrible?
Try these if you haven't already:
Star Tribune
Indeed.com
CareerBuilders
Hotjobs.com
Snagajob
Monster
United Health Group
Medtronix
Allina
Hope something helps :)
Let us know how you do.

Yeah, the overqualified thing s*cks. I'm applying for anything I can that I fit into. But I don't know how to "dumb it down." If I don't list my qualifications, I won't get a call, and if I do list them, I'm overqualified. WTF? (Sorry for my French, but I've been speaking a lot of that lately).

I'm an accountant with collections and cash management experience and I, too, have been told not to look overqualfied. However, the idea of taking a position paying less than unemployment seems like such a blow to the ego. What to do? What to do?
Keep your chin up . . .maybe check out the malls. I do see that some of them are hiring for seasonal workers now. Lord knows the Christmas decorations are EVERYWHERE already! That may help keep the wolf from our doors for awhile. Best of luck to you!

I do have a 20 hr temp position lined up for next month, but that won't cover much. I can't draw out my PERA funds (Public Employees Retirement Association) now without taking at 38% tax reduction. In April, though, I'll be of age to start getting monthly payments, though, so I have to wait until then.
I may just have to take a trip to the Mall and walk around and look for "Help Wanted" signs. Right now I'm not particular as to FT, PT, or temporary. I just need some money coming in!
