Why Push a Car Uphill?

While I was on my lunchtime walk today I noticed two guys in their 20s pushing a car down the street in front of St. Anthony Main, which is across the river from downtown Minneapolis.  I offered to help them, thinking they were just going to pu**** to the next available parking space.  As it turns out, they wanted to pu**** another 3 blocks to a repair shop.  I figured that I was out to get some exercise anyway, so I kept pushing.  The first two blocks of cobblestone streets were pretty easy, but then they turned to go up a steep hill for the last block.  With two of us pushing and one steering, we were able to make 30 or 40 feet uphill at a time before they wanted to rest.  We made it about halfway up the hill before those two young guys called it quits, gasping for breath, or at least breathing harder than I was.   They thanked me for helping them , but looked at me a little funny, not quite believing that they had pooped out before I did.  I just smiled and walked away, feeling right proud of myself.

And you should be proud of yourself!  You have done such a great job improving your health and you have become an amazing inspiration to many of us who are a little newer to this wild expedition we have embarked upon.

I thought at first this was gonna be a rhetorical question...

I was going to say "Because it beats letting go!"

Good job, RP
