Anyone with Medica Insurance? How was your experience with working with them and how long did your process take before approval?

I have Medica - it was smooth as silk. Fortunately my deductible was met just before surgery so that alleviated having to deal with that. I was approved less than 10 business days after the request was submitted.

How long from the info meeting to approval?

I have Medica and they have been great.  They required 3 extra months of dietitan visits.  I also had a physical therapy evaluation, psych eval, meeting with the bariatric nurse, the bariatrician and bloodwork/EKG.  I had my first appointment at the hospital on June 8th and will be meeting the surgeon next week to schedule surgery.  Most of my appointments were in June, and then had 3 extra dietitian  visits, one in July, August, and September and here I am now.

Once everything was done, they submitted it to Medica.  I had my approval two weeks to the day that we submitted.

I have medica and they were no problem at all. I called cust service and they gave me a list of surgeons that they would approve and then I just went thru the process. It took about 4 months from then til approval.
