Those were some big pants! (pic inside)
Thanks Kelly.
It is amazing, you are right. Glad you have this pic, too. The pic is a great reminder.
I'm keeping a photo album of my journey so I can always remember and never go back to where I was. I just feel that is an important part of my long-term success, and I've already thanked myself for keeping the album. I've needed to look back a few times!

AWESOME picture! Congratrs!
I have to tell ya, as I sit here and type this in my OWN size 24 weekend sweatpants (that are pretty loose by the way), I am having a tough time boxing up all those 24's and XXL's summer clothes and getting ready to NEVER LOOK BACK! The tough part part comes from worrying about things like what if they don't approve me this week, what if I'm still fat this summer, what if the surgery doesn't work because I screw up somehow? UGH!
HOWEVER, looking at pics like yours is a HUGE encouragement to me that just because I am wearing those fat pants now doesn't mean I can't be one of those beautiful transformed women like you, Elena and so many others WHO HAVE DONE IT!
THANK YOU for sharing your success and showing where you started and how far you've come!

I'm not perfect but I am going to die trying!!!
I encourage EVERYONE to keep one pair of your BIGGEST pants, so that you can pull them out when you're doubting how far you've come!
It's just too funny that you posted thism, Amy... Yesterday while looking at the jeans I was about to climb into, I found myself playing that old "yeah, like your a$$ is gonna fit in THOSE" tape again. So my DH reached up into the closet, pulled out my pre-op 32's, laid them across the bed (and I mean ACROSS THE BED!), and told me to put the 14's on top of them.
Nothing like a good visual to give you a dose of reality when your head is playing tricks on you.
(and BTW, the 14's DO FIT!
)

Thank you for this. I am 52 days out, not sure how much weight I have actually lost (doctor's appointment tomorrow morning), having a few challenges getting my protein in for a day and drinking as much as I should, too.
It seems the one thing I know I am doing right is exercising. I read on the boards about Leslie Sansone's Walk Away the Pounds and started doing those at least 3-4 times a week. Lately, I have been doing them nearly every day. Since September 24th, I have lost 26 1/2" (from my neck down to my ankles! lol). Some clothes that didn't fit even a week and a half ago fit me now, so I know there is progress.
My greatest fear is summed up in your first line, though...I sometimes feel like I will never truly "get the hang of it" (using my tool efficiently) and I will ultimately fail.
You look stunningly beautiful! You actually radiate and your happiness is easy to see. Your inner beauty, encouraging others touches me.![](http://images.obesityhelp.com/_shared/images/smiley/msn/bee.gif)

Congratu-fricking-lations Amy!!! You've rocked your tool.
Think of all the struggle you went through to even have surgery and yet it now seems like a blink of an eye!
Couldn't be more proud of you!
