Any items I could buy in advance to prepare?

Is there anything you could recommend that I should have in my house food or otherwise that would help to have after surgery?

SF popscicles.......Chicken noodle soup minus the noodles, I hated the plain broth......Crystal light......Timer to set every 5 minutes to remind you to drink......Unjury unflavored protein powder or whatever kind you like.....

Are you open or lap? I was going to respond with some personal comfort items, but then it dawned on me that it may not apply if you're having lap.

Okay, then you won't need the bottom buddy.

But, here's a few others I can think of:

Your own pillow for the ride home - I held mine on my tummy and it just helped me feel better over those bumps.

A nice water bottle you don't mind looking at it 'cuz you two are going to be real good friends!

A comfy recliner chair and side table to set your things on. I also kept a blanket on the chair with me and my pillow just so napping was a bit easier.

And a crossword or other puzzle book helped pass the time, too. Of course, there's always the computer, iPod or other, etc. too. I just like the old fashioned puzzle books when I'm not feeling good.

Then, come on OH and post about your experiences and ask questions, cry, complain, or rejoice. We're all here for you and you have to reach out so we know how to support you!

Best wishes!!!

I keep seeing Crystal Light, is there a reason for it?  Or do you all just like it?
