Went to my first Support group in Ohio

So on Tuesday I drove to Dayton, Ohio to check the nearest support group which was not far at all. It was like driving from Minneapolis to Saint Paul.
It was very interesting on how different they are from Minnesota but yet so welcoming! Which I loved !!!
They had an hour of topic were all type of surgery met, Duodenal Switch, gastric sleeve, RNY, Lap Band and Realize. Then after that we broke down into smaller groups according to surgery were you introduced yourself, how much weight you lost and what you were grateful for!  I felt like the spotlight was on me because I brought some different things to the group they hadn't heard before. I am so glad I made it there and encourage any one who hasn't attend a group in awhile or is needed support get thee to support group :)

I'm so glad you went!  Keep the support flowing, develop friendships with some Ohio peeps!

But you've got me curious now - what sorts of things hadn't they heard before???

Malabsorption for one! and they have a different vitamins they take. And some hadn't even heard of PCOS

You'll have to share wisdom you learn from them with us!
