Anyone have Health Partners that has had revsion surgery Lap Band to RNY and had it approved?
I have a Lap Band and have been unsucessful with wt loss with the band and now am classified as prediabetic.
The doc I saw said that Health Partners would not approve revision surgery if my band was in place and no problems with the band.
I am curious if anyone has had the revision surgery with HP and been approved. If you have a copy of your appeal letter I would love to talk with you about this more.
Oh I sure hope some of you have had luck with this. I am at my wits end.
I went to Unity saw Dr Frederick Johnson and he flat out told me I needed to work with my band. Do you think I havn't tried to do this already? What a slap in the face!!
My original surgeon was Dr Michael Schwartz. Maybe I need to go see him and see what he says, kind of like a second opinion??
Help here and kind help please. No tough love or "make your band work advise" Honestly, healthy food gets stuck, the junk slides on through and I'm hungry all the time! I am up 30lbs preop wt from 2005 so with lap band surgery have gained 50lbs instead of loosing.
Ok, here goes I am posting now and will pray for honest kind answers.
