If your pouch tolerates it, you might try having half of a one egg omelet with cheese or some oatmeal fortified with protein powder.  Regular milk didn't settle very well for me when I was a few weeks out, so I used soy milk instead.  I also used soy milk in protein shakes for awhile, but not every program recommends the consumption of protein shakes.  Good luck!

I have yogurt a lot for breakfast - if you can get to a Trader Joe's, their greek yogurt has a BUTTLOAD of protein in it!  (As does Fage, but that costs a lot more than TJ's...)  I add sunflower seeds to mine for added texture and a bit more protein, too.

Cottage cheese is really high in protein as well, and it is probably a little better at holding a person over than yogurt.

And a lot of people find themselves eating things that aren't typical breakfast foods in the morning (leftover chicken?  a Lean Cuisine entre?), just to get a good high-protein start to their day!

Honestly at 4 mons out I'm all over the place with what I eat for breakfast.. sometimes its breakfast food but more often than not, its something else..
Scrambled eggs are still tough for me to get down most of the time... poached I do fine with
Quaker weight control oatmeal has added protein.. can add more by adding protein powder..

At 3 weeks out i'm assuming you're still on soft foods... I didn't eat "breakfast" foods for a long time post op... and I still don't.. I stuck with yogurt, cottage cheese, the weight control oatmeal (made with extra water or milk to make it less thick and easier to get down) or anything else that was a protein food.

i start each day with a protein shake on my way to work... so I get my wallup of protein right off the bat to get me going in the morning...

I do the banana bread flavor Quaker Weight Control oatmeal for breakfast.  I like to add PB2 for more flavor and a tad more protein.  I sometimes eat two sticks of string cheese for breakfast.  I also do a lot of Greek yogurt and sometimes add fresh berries or Kashi Go Lean cereal to it.  WalMart is now carrying the Oikos brand Greek yogurt.  It is not as inexpensive as Trader Joe's but way less than the Fage.  I do okay with scrambled eggs but rarely take the time to make them during the week.  Leftover meat topped w/ salsa and black beans is another favorite for me.  On super busy mornings when I forget to plan ahead I have been known to pick up a bag of jerkey and eat a few pieces of that but you are probably a bit early out for that yet.  When I was still eating purees and soft foods I would keep ground turkey sausage that had been cooked and pureed w/ salsa to thin it out in a container in the fridge.  I added it to refried beans or scrambled eggs.  A piece of thin sliced deli meat wrapped around a piece of cheese might be another option.

On the heels of seashell... I did the same thing.  I ate (still eat too) alot of canned chicken and Tuna. I love love love Trader Joe's canned chicken in broth. I would whirl that up with some mayo in my mini food processor and eat it up... same with tuna!
