Indigestion/Icky tummy question
I have had acid reflux problems for years, and pre-surgery I could only correct it by either prilosec or by not eating in the evening. Guess what I chose?
After surgery, they suggested I stay on prilosec, so I am on it now. I had nausea my first days out of surgery, but that was mostly relieved when I discontinued my pain meds and switched to liquid tylenol. However, in the morning and sometimes when I wake up at night, I have a yucky tummy. Anyone else experience this? What do you do?
Thanks.

You might contact your surgeon to see if there's some other med he can prescribe for your reflux. With the malabsorption issue, Prilosec may not be working as well as it used to. I never had an issue with reflux, but was put on something anyway for that first month post-op - just to be safe.
Good luck to you!!!

Imperfect does not = unsuccessful
I vaguely recall that I felt nauseous in the morning and I thought it was because my pouch and body has gone 8 hours without protein. I'd eat pretty much as soon as I got up, so my engine could recharge itself.
Is it reflux or do you think you just need to refuel?
