WOW! I Kept Up With My Sons
My family spent the past few days moving my odest son and his wife from grad school in Pittsburgh to Evanston, Illinois (just outside Chicago) where he has taken a consulting job. We drove out Thursday night, loaded up on Friday and drove to Chicago on Saturday, where we unloaded their stuff in the dark and the rain. On the drive home today I reflected on the fact that I kept up wth my sons (ages 26 and 21) as we loaded up the truck in Pittsburgh and when we carried all of that stuff up to their second story apartment. In years past I would have been awash in sweat, with my knees hurting, out of breath and worn out before the job was done. Not that I wasn't tired, but no more so than the younger guys. To top it off, I wasn't sore or achy yesterday or today. Sweet!

That's awesome RP!!!
Yes, I was wearing one of those secret grins. My oldest son thanked me profusely for all the help, especially since I also drove the moving van from Pittsburgh to Chicago. My youngest son started to get a little competitive about who could carry the heaviest box up to the new apartment by themselves. We each carried a box of books that weighed well over a hundred pounds and went back for another load only a little out of breath.
