How far out were you when you first felt hunger.

I think what I'm feeling is hunger... Its not the same as before though.. its almost like the old hunger but not quite.. maybe its because our pouch is smaller and higher up now because its so small? I get little pangs... and it defininately resembles old hunger.. I'm 4 mons out...  It's almost always when I've forgotten to eat or missed a meal time...

I first started feeling hunger about 4 or 5 months out but it wasn't every day, now at 6 months out if I don't eat right I probably feel hunger 4-8 times a week, but sometimes I don't drink enough either and if I drink that feeling goes away. Good Luck to you,  seems like you're doing great!!!!

This has been the best decision besides marriage and kids that I have ever made!!

At nearly 2 & 1/2 years out, I still never feel that kind of physical sensation of hunger...

If I'm past due to eat, I'll get weak, shaky, maybe lose focus.  When I recognize THOSE signs, I ponder when and what I ate last, and then decide if I need to eat something.

And YES, I do consider myself lucky.

I do feel hunger, but it's more what Darla explained. I'm 5 weeks out. I felt hunger after a month after my original RNY also.

I was told with some people it never comes back.  I began to feel a different  hunger at 4 months.  I can deal with the hunger I feel now.  Before it would put me into anxiety.

My first feeling of real hunger was at 9 or so months out.  At almost 2 years out, it's still hit or miss.  More often than not, I don't feel hunger, rather, I get a feeling of my blood sugar dropping, weakness, light-headedness, headachey, if I've gone too long without eating.  Listen to your body, but use the knowledge you have been given by your program about what and how much you should be eating daily.  U are still going to struggle with head hunger.  Heck, almost 2 years out, I still have to think about my hunger and decipher whether it's head hunger or real, and there are a lot of times it's all in my head.
