WOW 3 digit loss - long - sorry

I can't believe it, but I've lost 100 lbs. since the beginning of this process.  I lost 17 lbs. before surgery and the rest since.  So many WOW moments have been occuring....like crossing my legs, buying some clothes not from Catherine's, being able to fit into scrubs (I'm a nurse) that the hospital supplies, having a lap...literally looking down while I'm sitting and seeing legs, not just knees, sticking out.  So many compliments (almost too many), it's a little embarrassing.  I love starting to blend in and not being the biggest in the room anymore.  Much more physical energy to help take care of my 4 small grandaughters.  I love when I haven't seen someone for months and they don't recognize me...how fun.

There are some negatives, but I'll take them.  People used to be shocked by how old I was....well now, that stretched out skin is just a wrinkled mess, especially my neck..yuck...and now I look my age.  It could be worse.  I'm not real fond of these giant veins showing up on my legs and arms.  I'm sure they've been there for years.  They needed to pump up to keep this body and it's extremities working, but boy, are they big and all over.  I was the "apple shape" body....all stomach.  It's still there, obviously a little smaller, but still there and hanging more than ever.  I swear if I could just chop that off I'd be happy.  I've always had to wear bigger sizes just to fit around my stomach and that's still true.  The thought of facing another surgery to get rid of it scares me, but I think it's inevitible.

Sorry so long...just very happy.  Next big goal is onederland in another 18 lbs.  I haven't been there for 32 yrs.  Thanks to all of you for all the support and info this site provides.

PS...anyone know how to get rid of the double ticker?

Woohoo!  You are doing great and I'll take the sags and veins over the "inconveniences" and health issues any old day!!!!

The sagging is somewhat inevitable, but it will snug up some over time - just enjoy not being a stuffed sausage anymore!

Congrats on losing 100 pounds! Doesn't that feel great!!

On the double ticker, go to "MY ACCOUNT" at the top of the page, then under SETTINGS, click the MESSAGE BOARD tab, and you'll see your SINGNATURE.  You must have the ticker pasted 2 times in there.  Hopefully that helps.

Congratulations on the hundred pound loss!  You should be so proud of yourself!

I'm an apple, too, and have felt for years like I was putting a belt on Humpty Dumpty.  There was nothing to keep my darn pants up over my belly.   Finally, I'm starting to see less stomach and the beginnings of a waist.   Life is good for us losers.

Keep it up!    Literally!
