Another post about hair loss!!
OK I just had a talk w/ my family and we/I am thinking that I need to start wearing a hat of some sort because of how bad my hair loss is. I am just wondering if others have experienced it to that degree or am I just special? I love the fact that I have lost over 100# but I hate that I am looking like a cancer patient right now and since most people don't know I had surgery I am sure I DO look like a cancer patient. Did anyone else have to deal w/ this? I wonder when my hair will decide to wake up and grow again? I am not getting in the protein I am to have, I haven't found anything I can tolerate real well, tried different powders, whey and soy and rice flavored and unflavored, tried protein fruit flavored shots, tried so much I can't even remember what I've all tried, also became lactose intolerant so no smoothies w/ milk or yogurt to try to hide the flavor of the powders. Can eat only a little bit of egg also. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!
I'm lactose intolerant - try Lactaid. Tastes exactly like milk. I hear they now make Lactaid cottage cheese (I think Cub carries it - my sister in law eats it up there). You SHOULD be able to eat yogurt (most lactose intolerant people can/but not all because of the way it's processed) and cheese.
I had major hair loss after my first WLS also. People commented on the hair loss. It started 3 months out and lasted until about 10 months out - but I was able to get in all my protein back then. The shorter the hair, the less people will notice the hair loss. A hat may also work. Best of luck to you.

Please spay and neuter your pets!
