3 months post-op WOW
I had my RNY on June 17, 2009. So that is just over 3 months ago. I started out at 220 and am now down to 159. Went from a size 20 to a size 10. I have lost a total of 37 inches total. But that is not the best part. I was having to give myself 7 shots of insulin a day. Which still wasn't enough. They were talking about a pump. One month after surgery I was TOTALLY off all my insulin. At 2 months out I was told by my diabetic dr. that I no longer had to see him. I am off my C-Pap machine and also my sleeping meds--which I had been on for 8 years. I am feeling much better.
It has been a wild ride. I still struggle to get enough protein in daily. I am still not very hungry. I have to remind myself to eat--who would of thunk that. I have trouble drinking most protein drinks--the taste gets to me. Meat is still a little bit hard for me to eat.
I am now back to riding horse back. Something I hadn't done forever. I actually weigh less than my hubby--which never had happened before. I weigh less than when we got married. My hubby is very happy that all is going well--well except for the 7 inch loss in the chest. I told him he can't have a skinnier wife but not lose up top too.
I will update more soon.
