Does anyone have Arthritis come about after WLS?  I'm almost 3 years out and I'm on my way in a couple of weeks to a Rhuematologist to see if I have RA.  I'm wondering if any locals struggle with this before I post on the arthritis forum.

I am 3 years out, and in the last few months have noticed I am starting to develop arthiritis.  I haven't been diagnosed, but have done some research on my own.  I wake up with aching joints in my hands, which is where it started in my mother also.  I don't associate it with WLS because of my age - I'm 43 - and because this is usually the time it starts in my family.   I usually take tylenol for it.  I don't know the difference between RA & just the standard "old age" arthiritis, so my response probably didn't help much. I hope you feel better & that you don't have RA.

Thank you for your response.  I didn't think much of my hands hurting, until my elbows and started to correlate that to my hip pain as well.  I'm a mess and in pain and it is beginning to affect my daily life.  I take tylenol constantly and use bio-freeze.  My poor husband to be love me anyway.  I don't care what it is, I just hope they find out what it is.  I've been dealing with the hip pain for about 9 months now.  And my MRI was normal.
