An update on me

I thought it was time I checked in.

I've been quite busy and honestly don't sit down and read the message boards a whole lot any more.
I'm 16 1/2 weeks post-op now (little over 3 months) and have lost 52 pounds since May 27th.  I started my journey in January 2009 weighing 280 pounds so I think I've made great progress getting down to 206 pounds so far!!
I joined a gym (24 hour SnapFitness in North Mankato) and work out about 3+ times per week.  I have noticed that if I don't work out for 3 days I feel very restless and don't sleep well at all.  I LOVE using the weight machines and walking on the treadmill.  We've been doing more intense terrain geocaching and, at times, my husband has had to keep up with ME!!

I've gone from size 22/24 bottoms to size 16/18 bottoms depending on brand/cut/style.
I've gone from size 20/22 tops to size 14/16 tops.
I really need to purchase some new bras since I'm drowning in the cup size I have right now (DD).
I'm not even going to think about a winter coat until October or November.
There's so much more room in the bathtub and in my car!

I still drink coffee (about 1 cup per day or less).
I absolutely LOVE to have cottage cheese for breakfast (or any time) [eating some right now!].
Fat Free Refried Beans with cheese are my default lunch most of the time because it's quick, easy & yummy.
I still measure my food.
I have not had any issues with food getting stuck for a LONG while (1+ month) and I still experience dumping but not nearly as much as I used to (not trying to eat bad stuff anymore, hah).
My hair is falling out but no bald patches or exagerated thinning that I can see.
At 206 pounds I am the lightest I have been since moving out of my parents' house in 2002.

My goal for my 6 month visit (which will be November 20th - the day New Moon opens in theatres, YAY!!!) is to be at or close to weighing 180 pounds.  I'm only 26 pounds away from achieving that and I'm 2 months away from my appointment so I think this is entirely achievable.  I like this goal because I was 180 pounds my Sophomore year of high school and I remember that weight VERY clearly.  One of these days I'll get around to posting another progress photo.

I hope everyone is doing well and staying healthy.  I'm getting my flu shot this upcoming Wednesday and I'm hoping to stay healthy this winter & I hope you are well, too!!  Cheers!
Anna

You're over 4 months out girl!

You're doing awesome! keep up the good work!

My 3 month post op (2 weeks late to the day) is on Wed 23rd... I haven't weighed in 3 weeks but I know I went through a bit of a stall...

Thanks for the hair pep talk.. I'm just glad mine is short and I don't have to deal with the tangles!

Yay for progress huh?

Anna - You're doing awesome, congratulations and keep up the hard work.  I want you to know I think of you every day.  Your 3 prunes a day works like a charm.  Did you ever think you'd be synonymous with prunes  ;)

Thanks for the update.....

Anna you are doing a great job! Your progress is phenomenal and I think you will have no problem reaching 180lbs by your next appointment. BUT... if things come up and life gets in the way, don't be bummed if you're not there. It happens sometimes. BUT... I think you'll get there... Bella and Edward will be waiting there for ya! hehe

You said you and your hubby do terrain geocaching...can you explain? I've tried geocaching a few times but not with a GPS... just from hints online. Do you use a site? Just curious.

Way to go! You are a rockstar!
