hmm

Can anyone share the post op diet for RNY?

I haven't been given any of this information yet and my surgery is on Wednesday.

I want to make sure we are well stocked and ready to go.

okay I know...the post op diet is pretty minimal, but I'd just like to know what I need to pick up...because if possible I will be trying to get the 'organic/natural' alternatives whenever possible

yeah 'granolas' are overweight too!  I get some grief over that from people.  Actually I switched centers because I didn't like the sound of the post op diet in the info packet.  (lots of chemicals)

Usually, Dr. Ikramuddin's patients are on liquids until the first post op visit, then progress to pureed.  You should get a diet booklet when you go for your pre op class.- and will likely get another one when in the hospital.  Diet information should be in your patient workbook that was given at the info seminar.  At your first post op visit, you'll meet with the dietician, and she will give more information.  Each time you see the clinic staff, you can request to meet with the dietician if you wish.
