Clothes Mentor
Stacy and I took some clothes to the Clothes Mentor in Roseville this morning. I was REALLY surprised at what they took and what they didn't. I have some really nice dress pants and they only took the black pair, not the navy or tan, same style and size. I also had two really nice button up shirts, nothing fancy, but they didn't take them, either. I think they took 4-5 things and paid me $18. They pay 1/3 of what they will sell it for. I probably won't go back there again. Don't know about Stacy! Maybe she'll post, too.
I can do this, I can do this, I can do this - AND SO CAN YOU!!

Yeah that's pretty typical there. I sold some things to Turn Style as well.... got some money out of that as well.
They took about 5 shirts.... 3 have already sold. So I will pick up the money next week. :)
Aw shucks! I know that brands make a big difference to them and to TurnStyle. I used to wear a lot of Talbot's brand and they always gobble them up. I liked the idea of them paying out right away vs. waiting for your items to sell at TurnStyle and then having to go and pick the stuff up by a certain date. I've utilized TurnStyle twice so was looking for a different consignment option. But maybe I'll have to look elsewhere.
I suppose the best bet is still EBay or Craigslist, eh?

Try a different one some times it kind of depends on who checks out the clothes. They really go for what is in style and season. So they will only buy for fall and winter right now. Plus they go for name brand stuff as well. I sold quite bit them made about $300 in a year but would bring things in for the season and would brings back in a month or so and they would buy more.
