STOP!!!! The scale is going the wrong way.

This is sooo crazy. I know that the time was going to come that the scale would stop going down and maybe go up a little. I don't what to be there yet. I am just about 10 months out from surgery and have dropped just over a 100 lbs., however, this week I have gained back 6 lbs. and I am not happy. I think I know why, so I want to post it to see if I am thinking in the right direction or if something else has contributed to the scale going the wrong way. So, here goes.

Up to this point I basically was eating chicken, eggs, cheese, hummus and fish, with lots of water. This week I added polish sausage and more coffee. I also had fresh deep fried pan fish that was too salty last weekend, and my portions have stayed the same. What I think is happening is that I had to much salt and am retaining water, because my ankles feel tight.

What I think I need to do is get away from the sausage and coffee and concentrate on eating more of the chix and eggs, drop the coffee and increase my water intake back to what it was.

Good and bad comments welcome.

Thanks friends for any suggestions and comments.

I think it's good to not get too stuck on a small number of foods. Variety can definitely kickstart your metabolism... both in exercise and food intake.

I do think the salt plays a factor but just remember... it's only a week. My weight has fluctuated 5lbs within 2-3 days. There are a lot of factors that play in.

I would up your exercise and vary your food and stay away from the fried foods. That's just my thought. :)

Thanks, Elena.

I know the food choices that I have are limited, but I find that if I expand my menu, I get sick. As for the fried fish, normally I don't eat it, but I was at a fish fry and made the choice to try it.  It really wasn't as good as I thought it would be.

I appreciate your comments, but after all the hard work I am putting in to this and to see the scale go the wrong way is scary, I don't want to find myself in the situation that brought me WLS.
