Losing my willpower! Need advice
I had surgery on May 11th. Since then, I have lost 60 lbs. While I think that this is awesome, my weight has been coming off slower this last month...and I feel like it might be because of my eating. I am struggling because I want to eat ALL THE TIME! My mental hunger seems to be getting the best of me. I can't eat alot of sugar, or anything fried so I'm lucky there, but I like chex mix all of a sudden, and oreo stix.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can be more motivated to eat better. Obviously I can stop buying these things...but there seems to be a lapse of judgment every time I go to the grocery store! HELP!

I try to keep healthy foods on hand at all times, including in my vehicle and at work. I am a sucker for buying crap food at convenience stores so I have stopped going into them. I always use my debit card and pay at the pump when filling my car. I went through a period of time when I had to completely avoid the chip, cereal, cookie and cracker isles at the grocery store. I find I purchase the majority of my foods along the outter edges of the grocery store and stick to that as much as I can. I also avoid the grocery store like the plague if I am hungry. Always having something to do really helps me avoid poor snacking as I tend to eat when I am bored. Also, chewing gum sometimes helps as does drinking something. I often want to eat when I am really just thirsty.
In the end I know that I am responsible for what goes into my mouth and I try to remember the consequences (good or bad) of each thing I eat. If you continue to struggle and are unable to get a handle on your downslide you might check with your surgeon's office to see if they have someone to talk to that will help you sort out why you are doing this and what you can do to stop.
