still not smoking...
Today marks my 4 week no smoking anniversary. Think I'll celebrate with a cigarette. Just kidding! It's been amazing. I realized at about 1:30p.m. that it was my 4 week date and that I hadn't thought about smoking at all today. Simply amazing. I think I'm in the clear now. I won't smoke before surgery, I don't want to risk not being able to have it and if I can go the four months till surgery I'm gonna have a lot bigger things to think about after.
Wow! That's wonderful. Its so hard to stop those things we feel comfort in. Your lungs thank you, those around you thank you! You are doing great. CONGRATULATIONS!

Congratulations! I quit about 3 years ago and haven't looked back. Did you use anything to help you? I heard there is a new medication out there. My sister is talking about quitting, I hope she does. You've gone a month already you can keep it up, way to go!

Hey Kristy,
I did use Chantix and it seriously saved me. The first week I took it I could still smoke but they started tasting kinda weird. But it took away the anxiousness of it all. It was pretty amazing. The only side effect that I had was drowsiness. I have quit the medication now and don't feel too bad without it. I would recommend it to anyone.

You are absolutely amazing!
I just want to say that because what you have accomplished (3 weeks without smoking) is certainly NOT an easy feat. You are so inspiring to me... I don't smoke, but just hearing that you've been so strong inspires me!
