pre-op liquid diet

Hi everyone I am now on day 5 of my liquid diet and I have lost 7lbs. It was hard at the beginning and I got a little sick on day 3 I realized that It was from not drinking enough water. I then bumped up my water intake and felt  better. Well I have just nine days to go and i plan to visit my daughters and grandchildren in Lafayette,IN,. for a few days before the surgery. I was a little nervous as the day gets closer but I am fine now . I guess most people gets that way before any surgery.Well I guess i will say bye for now.

Congrats on your journey.... yes the first few days of the LD are a little rough.. sounds like you're doing well!

It's natural to be nervous before surgery - I think it was a mix of being excited and anxious and being nervous... 

Again Congrats! The surgery date is here before you know it!

You're doing great. I ended up losing 15 lbs. on my pre-op LD. We have the same surgeon- Dr. Lederer is wonderful and very caring. I'd highly recommend him! Good luck.

Thanks I think you have done an awesome job at losing weight, and I hope to do the same. It is nice to hear from someone who has the same surgeon.

Great job Laydee47.  I got a little spooked as the hour clicked closer, but I knew, intellectually, that everything would be fine.  My intellect was right.  I am only a handful of days past surgery (Southdale) and I am raring to go!  Keep up the good work.
