Yikes! Surgery Date Moved up a Week

Wait and wait for a date, and then it gets scheduled and now it's moved up!   They had a cancellation and so my new date is Sept. 30. So a week from this Wednesday, Sept. 16, I start the liquid diet.   This is becoming more real all the time!

YEEEEHHAAAWWWW...hang on for the wild ride!!

Usually it's "hurry up and wait"...with WLS it's ...."Wait and Hurry Up"!  What a whirl wind it'll be!!

Wow, things certainly are on the move for you now! There is a certain comfort in reaching the point of no return; I stopped worrying at that point anyway.

Things are going to go great! (I might suggest cutting back on carbs as you get closer to your date; it made the liquid diet and first few weeks after surgery much easier in terms of cravings and hunger for me.)

Thanks for all the enthusiastic support.  And Anna - thanks for the low carb suggestion.  I wanted to have a bit of weight off before the liquid diet and that will help.  I'm such a carb fanatic.

I did 2 1/2 months of "carb counting" before I got my date which was June 17th of this year.  Then they called me Monday May 18 and said "Hey, we have an opening for May 27th. Do you want it?"

I got my surgery  moved up a whole 3 weeks!  I was SO excited and I'm excited FOR YOU, too!!

Go Mary, Go Mary!!!  After all of the hoops have been jumped through, and appointments made you are really on your way!!  You won't believe how quickly the time will go!!
