Little wows.... with teeny tiny frustrations

So over a week ago (pre constipation) I went through my closet once again and got rid of clothes I can't wear...

Well yesterday I had my cousin's baby shower to get ready for... So I grabbed the pair of capris I was going to wear.  I put them on and what the #$%#$%?!!!?  They were so big I zipped them up and with just a slight tug on the floor they went!!!  I love these moments, they are undeniably exhilarating and scrumptious and you want to jump up and down and do a little dance...

BUT...

I'm getting tired of not having any clothes to wear!!! As soon as I buy a pair of pants to "get me through" to the next size I seem to be growing out of them! Even my shirts are big on me now and I'm running out of options.

Anyway... I am loving it but hating it all at the same time... No one told me WLS was going to be so expensive between supplements and clothes...

These are great WOW's- and frustrations, indeed!  I swear, I've kept the economy going one pair of black dress pants at a time.
I did take my 'good' pants in to the tailor, and had them taken in.  My stand by capris for the summer are now too big-- but summer's almost gone, so won't have them altered.

Congratulations on your success-- there will be more WOWs to come!

Stacy:

I know supplements are kind of expensive, but I like to think of them, and whatever I spend for better quality food and exercise equipment/expenses, as relatively cheap insurance for maintaining my improved state of health.  During the rapid weight loss phase I started visiting Goodwill and the Salvation Army for interim weight clothes.  Today, in fact, I am wearing dress slacks and a shirt that I bought at Goodwill when I was nearing my current weight last winter.  I spent a grand total of $9 and they were nearly new.  I had never bought clothes at those kinds of places before WLS, but I got over that quickly enough and it was kind of fun to find a bargain on something I would only be wearing for a month or two.  Anyway, congratulations for being too small for your clothes.

Yes, Savers is an awesome place to get used clothing too!

I know your frustrations!  Especially in the beginning, I went through sizes so quickly. I'd almost be mad that I couldn't wear the cute 1 size larger pants anymore.  Who would think you'd ever complain about that, right!   Now you know to always try on your outfit a few days before the event so you know you've got something that fits. :-)

You may want to try wearing camisoles under an unbuttoned blouse.  I've taken to doing that and I can extend my blouses a lot longer wearing them as a jacket.  A few of my blouses are way to big, but you can't really tell and I get a lot of compliments on how slimming the look is.

You wouldn't believe how badly I WANT this problem.  Frustrating and costly, I can handle over the pain and frustration I'm feeling now.

I'm down 120 pounds - thanks to RNY!  Working on the next 25.  Then I'll tackle more...
