150 lbs down...but where did all this grey hair come from?

I know I recently posted that I had lost half my weight (which is awesome and only a few lbs ago). But as of this morning I'm 150 lbs down and that number to me seems just unbelievable. There's just something about that number that seems a bit overwhelming to me. It's only 1.5 lbs from 148.5 where I had been at but it just seems like a world of difference in the saying of the numbers.

So for the last month or so, the hair I lost is growing back. I'm thrilled because I didn't have that much hair to begin with. The horrifying part is that about 75% of those hairs are growing in grey. Up to this point (I'm 36) I've had a total of 2 grey hairs. No wonder the hair by my roots has been looking so light! The bright side is that I have very fine hair and at least the greys are more likely to have more body/texture than the hair they are replacing. So glad I have an appointment for a cut and color on Sept 6!  Did this happen to anyone else?

You are amazing!   Wow - 150!  That is a big number.  You look great, too.

As for the grey hair, perhaps the body changes helped cause it, but many people can go grey early.  It can also be heredity influenced.   I'm lucky that way.  57, and just starting a few greys.

If you are like me, Sept. 6 can't come fast enough.  I usually forget to make a hair appt. until I'm need it, then I have to wait!

Congratulations on this great milestone!  That is terrific.

My hair is coming back too, it was always grey though.  But I noticed my hair is coming in curlier too!

My family wouldn't let me let nature take it's own course as far as color is concerned, so I can't speak to the grey issue.

My hair HAS come in quite curly, however - which only makes sense, now that STRAIGHT is the look du'jour!!

Anna,
Congrats on the great loss and using the tool so well!
Grey hairs are a sign of wisdom! Wear them well! Being a former hair stylist, when you choose to color your hair, you mentioned it is thinner, going a shade or two darker will give your hair the look of fullness. Just some seeds for thought!
Best of everything
