Re: our insurance denial.
Doing better today. Michael called the surgeon's office and they are going to help us to get through the appeal or whatever we have to do.
Interesting that it sounds like mine is still on track and his is the one having technical difficulties. I was going to have mine first, any way. But I don't want to be TOO far ahead of him. I have more to lose and the surgeon wanted us to be at least 6 weeks apart with it. Will continue to push. I want my surgery!
I guess I didn't realize how much I wanted it, until I was so worked up about being denied!

I'm down 120 pounds - thanks to RNY! Working on the next 25. Then I'll tackle more...

I know what you mean about wanting the surgery so bad. Last year I had to have mine pushed back by a few months due to being diagnosed with cancer & needing surgery. I was so mad! I wanted to be banded first. Luckily I had the other surgery first. In the end it all worked out though. Hang in there, both of your days will be here before you know it.

"On the lighter side" Everyone and anyone welcome!
I think if you get approval you are approved for a certain time frame or possibly until the end of the calendar year or your policy year.. so thats good. Even if you wanted to wait for his approval to time it right, you have some time to play with! Good to hear that things are going okay for your approval.. keep us posted!

Mary:
You are rightfully frustrated with this current setback. However, as odd as it might seem, looking back at my own WLS journey, that it is the obstacles I overcame with some effort that built my self-confidence, made me stronger, and helped me be more prepared for the challenges ahead. In other words, I came to be glad that I had endured those interim challenges, even if they really got my goat at the time. Your grit is obvious from your post. That grit will serve you well as you continue on your journey.
Good luck,
RP
