still in pain

Went to get my INR checked this morning...doing goods it 2.3!  But my doctor won't really tell me anything about my swollen thigh and such...so I made an appointment with Dr. Nicholson at the Minnesota Vascular clinic in Edina.  I go see him next tuesday at 9:30, hopefully he will give me some insight....my thigh hurts so bad...I am at my wits end I tell ya!

Hope you feel better soon, Lisa! It seems like you've had one thing after another since your surgery but it can only get better.

I don't think you should be in that much pain.  If I remember correctly the pain is because the clot is not dissolving and you need medical attention.  I would complain to your doctor or if he/she does not listen go to the urgent care.  Clots need to be dissolved or thinned.  Like I told you it was not until my second half of my hospital stay that I got scared once the doctor started to explain and I was alert enough to comprehend.  Now the thought of clots scare me to death.  One other thing, we are our own best advocate with our health care so push push push!!

I have to call my primary doc today...i ran out of percocet...not a good thing...I will let ya know what the vascular doc says tomorrow.

Okay got my refill of percocet...still hurting, but that drug does help some.  My bestest friend is taking me to see the vascular surgeon tomorrow....I am interested on what he says...this just really sucks!!
