Over 1,000 Miles Moved Under My Own Power This Summer

I have posted endlessly in recent months about my various insundry emotional machinations, so I thought I would change it up a bit and celebrate a WOW moment.  I reached a personal milestone this week......between biking and walking I have moved more than 1,000 miles under my own power since June 1st (not technically the start of summer, but who could tell this year?).   About 75% has been on the bike and 25% has been walking.  I haven't felt this good physically since I was in my 20's ......that was in the 1980's for those of you who are curious about my age.  I think that all of this physical activity has helped me deal with emotional issues far more effectively than consuming mass quantities of food ever did.  Anyway, if anyone would have told me two years ago that I might one day reach such a milestone in less than 3 months time, I would have laughed out loud at the seeming impossibility of it happening.  This reality is so much sweeter

I have kept track of a ton of information this past year. This is one area I did not chart!! I wish I had. I started out with one of those step clickers, never getting it to work right I gave up. It would click like the first 900 steps and then stop. It wasnt the battery or such, it was just the placement of the thing and I couldnt get it into the correct working spot. Maybe this year I will find one that is easier to work and start keeping track!
