Surgery day tomorrow 8/18!!!
I can hardly believe that I will wake up tomorrow and head to the hospital!! When they tell you 2-3 days in the hospital, they do count the day of surgery, correct? So I should be home by Thursday?? I ask because Thursday is my son's 7th birthday and it will be so hard on me if I can't be there. Of course, I realize that doing this surgery now means that I will be around for many, many, many more birthdays to come. Still, he's 7 and he is my baby, so I want to be there!!!
I have heard that you pretty much sleep the first day and night. Is that correct? I'm just trying to get an idea of what the next few days will be like. Anyone want to share their experiences?? I am having lap rny.

Mine is the 18th, too! Let's get this show on the road! Hopefully you'll be home for your baby's b-day, but if not, maybe they could bring a little party to you? Just the hubby and kids, but you could probably do a little something if you're stuck. Best wishes for an uneventful surgery and speedy recovery!
