WOW--I'm "normal" and have lost half of me
Amazingly, I lost 3 lbs my week's vacation (who does that?!) and I was thrilled to see on the scale this morning that I weigh 149 lbs with a BMI of 24.8. That's in the normal range. That was really my main goal, to no longer be "overweight" by any medical classification. (Well, besides lowering my blood pressure and all those good healthy things!)
I'm also .5 lbs away from losing exactly half my weight. At 148.5, I will have lost half my body weight. That's so close, I'm going to call it--I've lost half of me!
I had my surgery Dec 1, started the whole journey last August. I truthfully can't believe where I am today. A size 10 in bottoms (though they are getting loose which is making me mad because I thought I'd stop there and kind of bought a lot while in Chicago) and a medium in tops.
My mom would be so happy for me (she died a few years ago and had tried every bribe in the book to get me to lose weight.)
A friend who met a bunch of us for drinks when I went to Chicago didn't even know who I was! What a dork! But it was funny!
I'm just so darned excited!
