Update on FINALLY talking to PCP

Well after talking to the nurse with no clear answers, she had my PCP call me back.  He said my condition has caused SOME cirrhosis.  I wanted to know what "some" meant and he couldn't tell me.  I expressed my feelings on the Gastro doc and he encouraged me to find a new one, which I will.  He is also calling my local hospital to schedule another perecentis as my ascites is getting worse.  So now everything is a waiting game on how all my meds will either fix or not fix the problems.  I am trying to do as much research as possible on cirrhosis to see what I can learn.  I am also awaiting lots of labs from my Rhuemetologist for some of the symptoms.


Last night I noticed a bunch of tiny red spots all over my belly.  They are about the size of a pin head, not sure what that means.  Today they got darker, sort of a maroon color.


Also was cleaning today and leaned over my table to wipe it down and the top of one of the chairs was in my way and hit my hernia pretty hard.  I had pain for about an hour but now feel ok.  I am thinking if it hurts tomorrow I may call the ER to see if I should come in to have it looked at. 

So thats my update.

General question, is it a new thing that people call the ER to see if they should go in? I have seen this posted by others throughout the boards. I guess I never have thought of calling, always felt if I think I should be calling ,I best be going, lol
