6 years, still ticking...
Today is my 6 year (date from my first surgery). I have lost about 235 give or take.... The road has not been easy. No one ever said it would be. But the alternative path I was on would probably have ended by now or I would be miserable. Instead I'm feeling good for the most part and have learned to appreciate the little things. I would do it again (in fact I pretty much did just that two years ago when I had my second revision).
Tomorrow I will be going to valley fair....source of my greatest milestones. It's not too late to join me. I'll post some before pics later, and then some pics from valleyfair.
For those of you who may be lurking who have had surgery and are frustrated because your tool stopped or you feel like you've failed....PLEASE do not give up. See what your options are, do the five day pouch test, talk to your doctor, get back on track. There may be more help for you than you think.
