Bandster Picnic Aug 15th
I hope you guys don't mind if I post this here. I lurk, but don't often post on the MN board. There's a Sunday Night group of bandsters that meets in Coon Rapids at Starbucks on Hwy 10 & Foley, in the strip mall by Showplace Theater. Any bandsters or anyone wanting to learn more about the band is always welcome to join us. Recently, we decided to have a potluck picnic. All bandsters or those planning on having a band and their families are invited. Here are the details:
Saturday, August 15 from Noon-4 p.m.
Akin Riverside Park. it is located at 1721 River Ave, Anoka, MN 55303. Here is a little history and what the park has to offer: Located near the Central Business District, this 6.5-acre park borders the eastern shore of the Rum River from Bridge Square to Jefferson Street. It includes a pedestrian bridge that crosses the Rum River connecting the park/trail to Ferry Street and provides a view of the historic Eastman Amphitheater and stone house. This park received a national commendation for the historic elements located throughout the park and on the trail. Park Features: · Playground Equipment · Picnic shelter & restrooms · Picnic tables & grills · Historic elements · Nature area · River access with two fishing platforms · Boat launch & dock · Walking trail
Everyone should bring their own meat to grill, beverage and a dish to share. Please feel free to share this with any bandsters. Thanks!
