WED: How are you moving?

Hey everyone! How are you moving today?
Me? Going to take a slow, easy walk.
I biked 14 miles during a glorious sunrise this morning. I had patched a pinhole leak in my front inner tube and I was hoping that it held and that I wouldn't find myself stranded (I do carry a spare) or late getting off to work. Thankfully, my patch job held up as did my legs.
I wonder sometimes what people think of me while I am on my bike. I normally have to wait to cross one particular intersection and I used to pull my feet out of my toe clips and stop. Lately, though, I have been trying to do track stands......balancing the bike while it is stopped and my feet are still on the pedals. Should 49 year old men be doing such a thing? Honestly, I can't hold a track stand for very long, but it is kind of fun to be able to stand up and accelerate across the road as soon as the last car passes. If I am in a low enough gear and accelerate quickly, I can pull the front tire off the ground......like I used to do when I was ten years old. I guess I really haven't grown up.
I plan to walk at lunch time today, too.
I walked about 4 miles at lunch time and I did a lot of thinking....scary.

Hi Elena,
I am going to do 30 minutes on the elliptical and a Body Step class tonight. Should burn about 1000 calories or more doing those two things. I also attepted a walk at lunch and only got about 1/2 mile and bees came chasing after me. I ran back to the building and have decided that the lunch time walks are done. At this time of the year, the bees are soooo bad at work. We are out in the middle of nowhere. Plus I am deathly afraid of them but they seem to love me!!!
Have a great day,
Kelly
Well, as I stated yesterday, I am starting a new exercise program in the mornings...and that has gone very well both yesterday and today...this morning I did 10 min on treadmill, worked weight machines on core body muscles and 10 min on bike to cool down.
Last night the 4 of us (Kevin & the kids & I) went for a hike on one of the trails...so that was in addition to what I had planned.
I'm feeling really good about this...once Kevin moves in, he will be bringing his treadmill and stationary bike with him so on days that I work from home, or don't get the opportunity to work out at work, I will be able to do something there.
YEAH! I feel so much better about this....last 10 lbs...here you GO!!!
