Wow moment!

So yesterday one of our doctor's in our dept who's been on maternity leave stopped by to visit and bring the baby for us to ooh and ahh at....

I made my way over to her office to get my turn with the baby and she looked up, wide eyed, and said "OMG, this girl is getting SKINNIER every time I see her!"

It's the first time anyone has used the word "skinny" around me... I mean me, skinny? Not even!
But yes.. I know I'm losing.. but it feels so good when someone else recognizes that.. because like we have all said, yes we see the changes in the mirror.. but often times we don't see the changes like others do...

So that was a big moment for me... that and the fact the running joke around the department right now is how big and baggy my work pants are now... Savers here I come this Sunday!

Isn't it funny how one meaningful word or phrase can bring such gladness and celebration into your heart?  When you have gone through so much to improve your health and someone kindly and without coercion validates your efforts, it just makes your whole self smile.  Congratulations!
