Damn achey hips...

So I knew it was coming.. I knew I'd lose enough weight at some point when my body would slowly be set off kilter and have to reposition itself.. but this soon? 35lbs and I'm walking around sore like an over used cowboy? is it because my thighs shrunk enough that I can actually walk in a straight motion now? I even caught myself surprised by the fact I could feel my inner calves touch eachother when I walked if I tried!

If I didn't know better I'd have thought I rode a horse for a week the way I'm feeling... My inner groin muscles hurt the worst but my hips and lower back are achey too.. and the RN just laffed and said ya, welcome to significant weight loss hun!

So... this cowgirl is going to pop some Tylenol and giddeyup on to bed and rest her britches...
lmao  Hopefully tomorrow I won't walk around looking so ridiculous like I did today!

Stacy,

I'm sorry you hurt, sweetie.  Amazingly, my hips are killing me too!  I've been doing all this exercise and my poor hips aren't used to all this action!

I'm just going to plow forward because I must.  Energetically, Louise Hay says that sore hips are a sign of fear of moving forward (in life, with a career, with a relationship, with WLS, with post WLS...the list could go on and on.)  The mantra to counteract is would go something like, "I breeze painlessly through life in fluid motion and am at peace with whatever positive things come my way."

When I hear of people with sore joints etc.. I always lean towards calcium. When I am low on calcium I get  sore etc.. Maybe try upping your calcium by one dose? Just a thought.

It's more muscle related to my losing weight and my body readjusting how I'm moving and walking.. don't get me wrong.. I know I'm making progress because of it! Yee haw! Ride em cowboy!

Now no one watch me as I walk away because I have saddle swag like I rode a horse for a week!

Yep...35 lbs is enough!  It is a horrible feeling, but for a WONDERFUL reason!

Take your tylenol, try a heating pad on the lower back - that seemed to help me - and keep moving!

Congrats on this accomplishment (painful tho it may be)!
