Update on Me
Well, today the surgeon sent the letter to my insurance company to ask for approval to do a revision to my WLS to remove the stitches and cut out the ulcer and redo. It took then 2 1/2 WEEKS to do this! ARGH! Anyways, I spoke with the nurse yesterday and she said that she thought that my insurance company will most likely deny the surgery because I didn't have my original surgery down here and they never approved the original surgery and what I have is a "complication" that they don't need to cover it.
I'm going to be calling them everyday and hopefully bug them enough to want to get rid of me. Everyone please cross your fingers and hope they approve the surgery. My quality of life sucks because I have nausea on and off and it's horrible.
Thanks,
Farrah

Please spay and neuter your pets!

I feel for ya! I had an ulcer in the 80's it took 6 months to get under control. I was miserable and lost alot of weight from not being able to eat. Anyone can get an ulcer I didn't have WLS yet when I got mine, how are the 2 related? When I was trying to get approved for WLS it took 2 years and the whole time all I could do was be a thorn in their side. So until I was approved I was the best thorn I could be. You do the same! Good luck!
