Wednesday: How Are You Moving Today?
So, I skipped my morning bike ride because, well, I did something stupid last night. I gave blood yesterday afternoon without any problems and thus decided that an evening bike ride would be OK despite the admonition to avoid strenuous activity for 24 hours. I actually felt fine on the bike ride, but then I felt lightheaded every time I stood up after I got home. I drank some extra fluids in an attempt to get my blood volume back up, which I assume was the problem last night. If it wasn't a blood volume problem, my other working theory is that I might have been bumfuzzled from having my attractive thirty-something hairstylist flirt with me the whole time I was getting my hair cut after donating blood. At first I thought she was just one of those touchy-feely kind of people, but she didn't behave the same way at all with the next guy who had been waiting to get his hair cut and I am not completely oblivious to verbal and non-verbal cues when someone wants you to know that they are available. Yikes! Unexpected female attention still flusters me, so maybe I just don't handle it very well yet. Anyway, I feel fine now and look forward to a lunch time walk. How are you planning to move today?
I did end up walking about 4 miles at lunch time today. No problems with lightheadedness!
