Question for Forum
Hi everyone, especially those I haven't talked to yet. I'm new here. Still jumping through the hoops to get a date set for my surgery. I'm getting pretty close now.
My question is - do you know of a good therapist in the Twin Cities area (we are in NE Minneapolis, but would drive for a good one)? If you prefer, answer me in a private message. We would like to find someone who understands the issues of WLS.
Thanks for your help.

I'm down 120 pounds - thanks to RNY! Working on the next 25. Then I'll tackle more...

Best bet is to contact your surgeon's office and see if they have a referral for you.
Also, I did have luck with calling my insurance company directly and asking for a weight loss surgery specific counselor. I was amazed, but they actually had criteria for that!
There is one that works out of the Como area in St. Paul - let me find her name & I'll PM it to you.

Thanks - good info. Diamond Girl - just to let you know, I saw the psychologist at my surgeon's office and so did my husband. He doesn't see private patients for one-to-one therapy, though.
