Your favorite WOW moment...
Stealing the idea from Michelle G's post earlier today...
We have posted SO many WOW moments over the years, but I am sure that everyone has a favorite (so far)...I know I do...what is your favorite WOW moment to date?
Mine: Going to my class reunion last summer, and having people that I literally grew up with not know who I was because I was 'skinny'... one guy even stated to someone else (I over heard) "I didn't know she was that good looking...never saw past the fat before"
Let's hear what your favorite - to date - WOW is!

My off the cuff smart-alecky answer is that my favorite WOW moment happened the last time I looked at my ass in the mirror and didn't taste a little bit of vomit as a result. My real answer is that my wife told me recently that I am all muscle and bones now, words that I never thought I would hear.

But there is a common thread that runs through them all - and that would be the sensation, the REALIZATION, that I am NORMAL. (In size, anyway. (Keep your smartass comments to yourselves, thank you very much!)
Seriously - at pools, riding horses, walking around ValleyFair or Disneyland or (fill in the blank) for 12 hours straight and NOT dying, FITTING ON RIDES... It all comes down to one primary thing. Being Normal. Average. Anything OTHER than GINORMOUS!!!

Darla...one of my favorite WOW moments of yours is from back about 2 years ago...when you lost your pants! I still think of that and laugh my ass off...granted, there isn't as much to laugh off anymore, but when I think of it, it still brings a giggle to my lips.
And to your normal comment...are any of us really normal? WHAT is normal, anyway?

To blend in, rather than stick out.
To walk past a group of teenage boys and NOT have them snicker about the fat ***** walking by (like all fat people are automatically *****es?)
To see someone who IS big enough to experience those things, and wish they could find an answer like WLS has been for me.

Another favorite one is at church when the man behind my son and his family and I, overheard DIL call me grandma and he said to me, I thought all this time you were Jamie's sister, no way are you his mom!! Really? He could not believe it. I just smile at him now when I see him at church!!
I love my RNY!!!
