Thank You
Thank You
I wanted to take a moment to thank all of you who offered support, encouragement, prayers and advice to me after my post on depression yesterday. It chokes me up to think that there are understanding people out there who care about me. People who haven’t experienced depression before just don’t get it. No amount of talking or explaining seems to convey the feelings of fear, loneliness and uncertainty that you have or know that you will have if you can’t manage to nip it in the bud when you see it coming. It is so comforting to know that I am not alone in this battle against obesity and depression, despite my shortcomings and current temperament. It is times like these when the emotional safety net you all provide makes the difference between reverting to my old, self-destructive behavior and instead surviving for another day of healthful living on this WLS journey. ……OK….now I have tears in my eyes, which in this case is a good thing.
