What are your alternatives?
I think along this journey we start to get a little relaxed and get into some bad habits here and there. If you're not like that... can you come over here and give me whatever magic pill you're taking? hehe
Anyway... I wanted to make a post where you can examine your food habits and pick some bad/addictive/habitual eating patterns... THEN name some alternatives that you can start NOW. I think we sometimes get into a rut and before we know it... gain a few pounds thanks to those chips, ice cream.. whatever.
Here are mine....
-- Ice cream: My substitute is sugar-free fudgesicles and Crystal Light popsicles
-- Starbucks Skinny Vanilla Latte: My substitute is Starbucks Passion Fruit ice tea with Lemonade & Splenda
-- Chocolate or Oreos: My substitution is granola bars or granola snacks

Ice cream= I buy a "lite" kind or some SF fudgesicles.
Coffee= I use SF french vanilla creamer (liquid) and add in 12 grams of protein powder to the cream, enjoy the cup!
Cookies= Home made batch of cookies, adding protein powder in place of some flour,splenda in place of white sugar (decrease amount), oats in place of flour (sometimes). Mini choc chips (only a handful per batch..... Home made protein granola.
Chips= Buy Multi-grain or soy crisps.
Breads= Lettuce
Pasta= spagg. squash or zucchini squash
Those are my main items, the lists go on and on.

--Ice cream- SF ice cream or popsicles
--dip-- hummus or buy low fat sour cream and mix my own spices in to cut sugar/fat/calories
--chips-- whole grain or high fiber "natural" baked crackers (eat the hummus with them!)
I find that if I deny that craving completely it can get out of control.. so a couple crackers with a SMALL amount of dip or some yummy hummus curbs the craving..
