Not only have I made wonderful lifelong friends through OH, but I am blessed to have gained family!

I shared earlier in Elena's post - "In spite of it all" about how crazy my life has been. I just want to take a moment and say how truly grateful I am to have found such tremendous folks to add to the richness of my life!

Thank you both, Jenn and Jess for honoring me with the title of "grandma" to your three beautiful children! I feel blessed to have all of you in my life, and I LOVE ALL OF YOU! This is right up there with the renewed health and vitality that WLS has given me!

So what are you thankful for?

Cheryl

P.S. All three  grand-kids (Jordan, Izabella, and Jackson and WIPED OUT and soundly tucked into bed, allowing me this quick moment to post.

Hmmm.....

I am thankful for....

--A wonderful mother who helps me through thick and thin
--A sister who supports my weight loss
--A best friend who puts up with all that is me
--A wonderful support system that keeps me grounded
--A wonderfu cat and dog that lower my stress level every day
--A dad that financially helps me through the rough times
--A great place to live... roof over my head, safety, everything that a person would ever want
--Love from those around me that is unconditional
--My LapBand... it is my tool for life and keeps me under control
--My body... it has been through A LOT and is still going strong
--My mind... it's still somewhat sane
--My grandma, who compliments me on my weight loss every time I see her
--My parents... for giving me everything I have today
--My education... it's something that no one can take away from me
--My experiences...got me to where I am today
--My sanity... it's barely there, but it's there
--My spirituality... it keeps me grounded and ... sane, lol
--Nature... I love being outside and spending time relaxing in the sun

I have A TON to be thankful for... thank you for reminding me of that.

Elena,

You certainly have a way with words! Isn't it amazing when we focus on all the positives in our lives. This shift in mind-set can really be uplifting. Thanks for the awesome list...it will help other reframe. Maybe I'll see you at the next MG coffee.

Hey Cheryl.....I think that I am the one that should be thanking you.  Words can not express how grateful I am and the kids are for your love and support.  WLS has done wonderful things for our health but like you I never would have believed the relationships that have bloomed from this life changing surgery.

The kids and I truly love you and are greatful beyond words that you have filled the position of grandma to them.

Love you!

Jenn
