WOW: "Just 5lbs..."

I went over to my mom's place to try on the dress I'm going to wear for my sister's wedding in September. I put it on and we were clipping it for later tailoring and she says, "Five more pounds and this'll fit perfectly."

Five more pounds? When have I EVER heard THAT? I replied, "Did you just hear what you said?! When have we ever said THAT about ME?!"

I mean... at 300lbs, losing 5lbs was like spitting into an ocean... it would make no difference. "Just five pounds" is about models, skinnies, 'normals'... it's never about ME! It might be lame, but I have never been so happy to hear that!!

Looks good to me now, Holy Hot Cakes......I love this dress.....You look fabulous in it...

I get what your saying though, only 5 pounds....We used to hear, "Well if you loose 30 pounds, maybe it will fit." That's a WOW moment in my eyes.....
