OT - Endometriosis anyone?
I've been suffering with pain during intercourse for many many years. I feel sorry for poor hubby because i don't really want to do it. I finally brought it up to my GYN yesterday and she thinks I have endometriosis and wants to do a laprosocopy to see what she can find. Since I have to have a WLS revision anyway they can do it at the same time, so we're just waiting to hear back from insurance that my revision is covered. Any of you been through this before? Any positive experiences?
Please spay and neuter your pets!

Yup!! I had endometriosis and the same issue as you...actually paid all the time. The pain was sooo bad I lived on percocet. I had my 1st surgery to investigate in 2005 in which they found tons of scarring and removed it the best they could and a cyst on my ovary. The pain never went away. 1 year from that surgery they went in again and removed more scarring and another cyst. In 2008 when the same thing was going to be done again I asked for other options and decided to have a full hysterectomy. I have had no pain since that done....UNBELIEVABLE!!! Best thing I ever did. So depending where you are at and wanting kids or not.... Good luck!!
I've suffered for years, too. I had 3 laparoscopies in my early 20's. What finally worked was going into menopause (lupron shot). Once I stopped taking the shots, I got pregnant a year later. No problems since then. So have a baby!
Just kidding about the baby stuff. If you aren't going to have kids, yank out the plumbing. Better off going through a surgical procedure and anesthesia once.
Good luck.

I actually had endometriosis quite a few years ago. I went in to have my tubes tied, and they couldn't find them because of the scar tissue, etc.
So, they did (later) a hysterectomy and took it all - ovaries too. I didn't realize that I had been in so much pain until it wasn't there anymore. It was definitely the RIGHT thing to do.
Good luck!
