Starting Bad Habits

I'm really frustrated with myself.  I haven't lost any weight in the past 6 months.  I have gotten back a lot of my bad habits and have even gained a few pounds.  I seem to be stuck in the 190's.  I know exactly why its because I started drinking diet coke and eating a lot more sugar than I normally allow myself.

So I'm starting to now detox myself from the diet coke and then I'm going to work on decreasing the sugar out of my diet and upping the protien.   I just am scared I'm going to gain all my weight back and it makes me depressed and then i grab the candy (what crazy cycle)!   A year ago I was scared to even eat my calcium chews because it had 6 grams of sugar.

Kathy,

It's good you know that you've strayed off the path a bit.....Take one day at a time.....Just be sure to get in your protein, and exercise if your not......I too got off the path a bit, but I'm taking things one day at a time.....Stress for me was what really caused it.....

Hang in there, come to coffee this Saturday if you can for some support.....

Been there done that, so you are not alone! The good news is that we still have our tool and our healthy rules to follow and we KNOW that they work. You are NOT BROKEN and with support you can get back on track. This is a lifelong journey and old habits do die hard. Kelly is right, come to coffee or get thee to a support group meeting. It will help.

We're all living day to day with this type of behavior but luckily, we have the "tool" to gt us back on track.  One day, one bite at a time.

For all the newbies that read these type of posts from us oldies...think about this when you eat chocolate or pizza or a donut.  Just once seems fine, but believe us....it sneaks up on you.  Take advantage of every moment of your honeymoon stage...and learn your habits to reach your goals and maintain.
