I'm So Vein
To answer your question, yes, the title of my post is spelled correctly. Now that I am a year plus out from surgery and willing to actually look at myself in the mirror, I have been noticing a few things I hadn't expected. Beyond the emergence of my wrist and collar bones, having one chin, not three, and cringing at the flubby skin around my waist and on my upper thighs, I have been most surpised by all the veins I see. I first noticed them on my arms, but lately they are appearing on my legs as well. Even when I was in good shape for high school sports I didn't have all these veins showing up everywhere. It's not a problem...it just seems odd. Has anyone else had a similar experience? What else have you noticed that you hadn't expected?

I had gross varicose lumpy veins when I was fat. Thought they would get better when I lost weight. So I lost 150 lbs. They got WORSE!! I think it was because you could see them more with the fat gone.
So that surprised me.
I also didn't expect all the aches and pains after losing weight. I lost the sore feet and knees, and gained the sore tailbone and now, creaky hips. Oh well, still better to have a sore ass than a fat one!
