My surgeon is moving to Washington

Working on jumping through pre-op hoops.  Called WLS center to check on my next steps.  I have 1 last diet visit in August, 2 days later PCP appointment and labs.  Then submitting to insurance. 

I want a surgery date scheduled.  I want to plan my work schedule around my surgery date.  I get to WAIT......    

Then during the conversation, I was informed that Dr. Medlin was leaving MN to go to Washington next month.  So I'M having to change surgeons, still 2 others from the group remaining.  I will be seeing Dr. Bertel or Dr. Pitt.  Just another 'hoop'.   

Just wanted to share. 

Do you have to do anything different now that you're with another doctor, but same group?

Not according to the nurse I visited with.  Only a meeting to see the surgeon pre-op.  All three md's use the same educational team for working with us.
